laundry and turnips

It's such a beautiful day today! I wish I was outdoors enjoying the day, but I have a TON of laundry (laundry I never did last Sunday) and I am doing a bit of cleaning up and decorating around here. I hate laundry and always put it off until I have about 6 loads worth of clothes to wash. My mom is coming over later to help me put some stuff up on my walls, so I have something to look forward to in between folding an endless pile of clothes!

Yesterday I went to Texarkana with my mom and Stephen. We got a lot of neat maternity clothing, and I am so so so thankful! I had no lounging clothes for my days off -- I was still wearing old jeans and tshirts that were too small and not comfortable.

As far as the pregnancy goes, I am 17 weeks, 1 day! Here is this weeks update!

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now about as much as a turnip, and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
